Scanners

There are various scanners available, depending on what your initial and long term goals are, as well as your price range. Scanners range in price from $500.00 for a Desktop Scanner, to $3,500 for a mid range scanner and $5,000 or more for a departmental scanner.

Multi-function devices, such as network copier/printer/fax/scan devices can also be utilized, however they can affect the overall efficiency and functionality of the scanning process, requiring additional functions to be preformed by the user. Using the multi-function device, documents would be scanned to a network location, and then the user would be required to import those documents into Laserfiche. The importing of documents scanned through a multi-function device can be automated, however an additional software module called Import Agent would be required.

Laserfiche supports over 300 scanners from various manufactures.
